This years overall pass rate is 75.08 percent and the number of GPA (Grade Point Average) scorers are 39,769. This year Rajshahi board has the highest pass rate which is 79.01 Jessore board has the least pass rate of 63.37 percent. Rajuk Uttara Model College secured top position this year.
A total of 7,64,828 students registered for exam under 10 educational boards this year, of them 5,74,261 students passed. In terms of pass rate and GPA 5 holders the result is better than previous year. But it’s a question among experts that whether it is an indication of improvement or result improved due to relaxation in the examining process.
Today’s issue of daily Kaler Kantho published the result before the result was officially published. Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid said they will investigate how that daily was able to access the result. He also said there are more than required seats for higher education, so every student will have the opportunity of higher educations. He mentioned at least 250,000 seats remained vacant in the last session. He admitted that not all the students will be able to study in top universities, engineering universities or medical colleges. But total seat of all universities and undergraduate colleges of Bangladesh is more than enough.
Institute wise result
This year no paper result was issued by the educational boards, they e-mailed the results to institutions. They can download those from education board site (www.educationboard.gov.bd) and then they will provide printed result to the students.
Students may get their individual result by entering their roll number from the site www.educationboardresults.gov.bd
Only institute authority will be able to download full result. You can also get full result. First go to Dhaka board site (http://www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd/) then click on the ‘Institute wise results’ link on the right, or go the site http://www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd/hsc2011/inswise then enter the institution code, you will get full result of the institute.
