The injured are being treated at Cox’s Bazar District Hospital.
“After the shooting, someone or some people set fire to the Rohingya camp at Tambru Zero Point around 4 pm. The fire spread quickly and it is feared that hundreds of refugee homes have been gutted.”
Rohingya families fleeing the camp were closely monitored by members of the Bangladesh Border Guard. They will be sent back to zero point after the situation calms down. He said that even in the border areas the border jawans are on alert.
