Journalist Anees Alamgir, who was released on bail from jail in a case registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act, criticized the previous interim government and said, “Not only was injustice done to me, but I was also oppressed. You ask me to criticize you and when I do so, you send me to jail. This is a big betrayal. No one has seen a bigger betrayal than this in the last thousand years. If someone criticizes you, you put him in jail.” Anti Terrorism Act. Can criticism ever be considered terrorism? “Am I involved in any terrorist activity?”

Anees Alamgir was released from Kashimpur Central Jail-2 of Ghazipur today at around 2:30 pm on Saturday.

After his release, he left for Dhaka without talking to reporters at the jail gate. Later he spoke to Prothom Alo on phone.
