Expressing his willingness to do everything for the development of the upazila, MP Hasnat Abdullah said, “If I have to ask for anything anywhere for the people of my upazila, I have no objection to it. Because I am not asking for myself, I am asking for the people.”
Hasnat Abdullah said the allocation was a special allocation from the Local Government Division, which was spent through the District Council. Debidwar Upazila received 500 million taka. This money was allocated through the ADP project. It has no connection with the revenue fund of the Zilla Parishad.
Criticizing the district council administrator’s remarks, Hasnat Abdullah said, “He spoke in a way that made it seem like we had put the money in our own pockets. But in Debidwar, allocations were made for various works. He said it was taken from the revenue sector. But it was not a revenue sector allocation; it was an ADP project allocation.”
