According to Rohingya leaders and police, at least 40 Rohingya have been killed in several incidents of clashes and shootings over the past five months. Among the dead were 15 Rohingya leaders (Majhi), 10 ARSA members and one volunteer. The rest of the dead were Rohingya people.
Police say that finally a Rohingya leader named Abdur Rashid was shot dead by miscreants last Sunday, 30 April. He is a supporter of RSO. He is being treated at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
On 15 April, 55-year-old Rohingya leader Roshan Ali was shot dead by members of ARSA in Rohingya Camp No. 13. He was the Upa-Majhi (leader) of the E2 block of the camp.
Police and Rohingya leaders say a total of five Rohingyas, including two ARSA members, were killed in five separate incidents of clashes and shootings in several camps in Ukhia. In addition, a Rohingya has received bullet injuries during the clash.
