Speaking to Bangladeshi journalists, Dinesh Trivedi said that technological innovation is something that India and Bangladesh are achieving together.
He said, “Just imagine how good it would be if a cricket team works together. We will work together in the fields of sports, health, education and technology. This requires support from both sides.”
Asked about the “push-in” issue of border tensions and the possibility of lifting restrictions on travel and trade, the High Commissioner said, “India and Bangladesh share the same sky, the same air, the same pain. I don’t feel like I have come to Bangladesh. Whatever is good for the 1.4 billion people of India and the 200 million people of Bangladesh – for these 1.6 billion people – will be done. We will take steps in the future that are beneficial to both the countries.”
