“The game is played over five days so it is important to break it down into smaller targets and try and achieve them. One thing is for sure you are going to see a lot of attacking cricket from our side.”

Rahul expects Virat Kohli to be in high spirits after the former skipper’s century in their win in the third ODI.

“He is in good form, he has done really well for us in T20 cricket and recently scored a century in ODIs against Bangladesh. So obviously he will take some confidence into the Test match as well,” Rahul said.

Uncapped batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran will replace Rohit in the squad for the first Test, while Navdeep Saini and Saurabh Kumar have been included in place of injured duo Mohammed Shami (shoulder) and Ravindra Jadeja (knee).

Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed said that the team’s bowling unit will have to improve its game to take wickets on the flat pitch in Chattogram.

“Fast bowlers ideally want to bowl on green pitches,” said the 27-year-old, who missed the first Test due to workload. “The conditions are not in our hands. Our pitches in South Africa and New Zealand are slow and flat,” he said.

We have to make ourselves so skilled that we can bowl well on all types of wickets.
