Deceased engineer Asim Kumar Biswas, 60, and his 49-year-old wife Chobi Biswas are residents of Siliguri, West Bengal.
The driver of the private car, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Sajib, 30, was injured in the accident. He is a resident of Khulna Dighalia area.
Inspector Uttam Mitra of Katia outpost of Satkhipra said that Asim Kumar Vishwas was an engineer of the under-construction Khulna-Mongla railway line.
