Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the conference on May 12 at a hotel in Dhaka. The Prime Minister will also host a dinner in honor of the guests.
The sixth edition of the conference is being organized by the India Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Bangladesh.
With the theme of ‘Partnerships for Peace, Prosperity and a Resilient Future’, the conference will bring together an illustrious gathering of key stakeholders to draw up a roadmap for strengthening the Indian Ocean Region.
The Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) was launched in 2016 and over the past six years has emerged as the “predominant consultative forum” for countries in the region on regional affairs.
