Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi has passed away at the age of 100.
According to a Times of India report, he passed away in an Ahmedabad hospital in the early hours of Friday.
Heeraben lived with Pankaj Modi, the prime minister’s younger brother, in Raisan village near Gandhinagar city. Modi regularly visited Raison during his Gujarat visits to spend time with his mother.
Sharing a picture of his mother on Twitter, Modi recalled what she had said when he met her in June on her 100th birthday.
Modi tweeted, “When I met him on his 100th birthday, he said one thing, which is always remembered, act wisely, live with purity, that is, work with wisdom and live with purity.” Gandhinagar.
