The rate of inflation in the country declined from 8.91 percent in October to 8.85 percent in November, although the prices of essential commodities remained unchanged during the period.
The figures were published at a press conference at the office of Planning Minister MA Mannan on Monday.
The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), however, said non-food inflation rose to 9.98 percent in November from 9.58 percent in October, while food inflation declined .14 percent to 8 percent.
