Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi mourned Beck’s death on Twitter, saying he was shocked to hear of his passing.
Iommi wrote, “Jeff was such a nice guy and an outstandingly distinguished, talented guitar player – there will never be another Jeff Beck.” “His game was very special and uniquely brilliant! He will be missed.”
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, also a former member of the Yardbirds, paid tribute to Beck, saying that his technique was unique and his imagination limitless.
“The six-string warrior is no longer there for us to admire the magic he could weave around our mortal feelings. Jeff could broadcast music from the ether,” he said. “Jeff, I will miss you along with my millions of fans.”
