The notification also mentions that legal action will be taken against IP TVs violating this directive.
As per Article 4.3 of the National Online Media Policy-2017, IP TV cannot telecast any kind of news. The notice states that it has been observed that some registered/unregistered IP TVs are broadcasting news in violation of that policy.
