“Increased military activity and geopolitical tensions in these areas pose a serious threat to commercial shipping,” the Marshall Islands Flag Registry said in an advisory on Tuesday.
“There is the potential for miscalculation or misidentification associated with these threats, which may lead to aggressive action.”
Since 2019, there has been a series of attacks on shipping in strategic Gulf waters at a time of heightened tensions between the United States and Iran.
