MD Asaduzzaman, head of the police’s Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit, came to Arambagh at 10:00 am and said that the Jamaat had not been given permission to organize the rally. Therefore, the police will not allow the Jamaat to hold the rally. If the Jamaat tries to take out a rally, the police will take legal action.

On the other hand, Jamaat said that they will celebrate the program in a peaceful manner. According to many senior leaders of the Jamaat, they have received verbal approval to organize the grand rally.

But the police has not yet said anything about giving green signal to Jamaat to hold a grand rally. For the last two days, many top officials of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been saying that Jamaat will not be allowed to hold a grand rally in Dhaka.
