Honda Motors was marketing their motorcycles in Bangladesh with joint venture with Indian Hero Group. Honda Motors cancelled its tie with Hero Group in 2011.
Bangladesh is a lucrative motorcycle market for manufacturers with sell of about one lakh units every year.
Some local groups have started their own motorcycle plant with their brand name.
Now Honda Motors will set up an assembling plant in Bangladesh with joint venture with local business group and this plant will be able to supply low cost motorcycles. Parts of these motorcycles will be brought from India and Pakistan.
