Abur Rahman, president of the Naugaon district unit of the organization, presided over the program while its general secretary Abdul Kader, legal affairs secretary Minhajul Islam, among others, spoke.
Abdur Rahman said that such incidents are happening again and again because of the lack of impartial investigation into RAB’s custodial deaths. No state can run like this. A person can commit a crime, but there is a process to register a case against him. The prevailing laws also support the right of defense of criminals.
The speakers also said that if anyone is found guilty in a fair and impartial inquiry into Jasmine’s death, he should be prosecuted.
