In October, the Ministry of External Affairs had directed the Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia to inquire about BNG Global Holdings. Following this, a team from the High Commission contacted BNG Global Company and other relevant government offices and chambers. After this, the High Commission team sent a report to the Ministry of External Affairs based on its investigation.
Diplomatic sources in Kuala Lumpur said representatives of the High Commission visited the office of BNG Global Holdings. The company was registered in Malaysia in 2006. The authorized capital of the company is only 1 million Malaysian Ringgit. According to the company’s website its ventures focus on manufacturing, energy efficiency, education, research and development.
However, the High Commission’s interim report noted that BNG Global was registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia, the statutory body that deals with the country’s internal trade and consumer rights, in 2009. The company said it works at education and training facilities and as a business development consultancy.
