The top leadership of JPA was in a dramatic situation from the very beginning regarding participation in the 12th parliamentary elections. The party finally joined the elections after talks with Awami League on 26 constituencies.
Following the development, dispossessed leaders expressed anger and grievances.
Dissatisfaction has increased with four to five Japa leaders, who play important roles in the meeting in Dhaka, not being included in the negotiation seats. However, only 11 out of 26 candidates won the election.
90 percent of JPA candidates had to lose security money in the elections. Complaints have increased after the election defeat.
The top leadership believes that a section of senior leaders have instigated the matter.
