Ahmed Niaz Pavail, Joint General Secretary of Sadar Upazila unit AL, said that there was a long-standing dispute between him and some local people regarding land property in the village. He said that when he came out of the mosque after offering Friday prayers, some people pulled him against the wall.
According to the leader, the miscreants killed him with sharp weapons in broad daylight and fled leaving him seriously injured.
