The two famous brothers entered politics with the blessings of Musharraf and his younger brother Mohtesham Hussain, who are now behind bars.
On May 16, 2020, the house of Awami League president Subalchandra Saha was attacked in Faridpur and the two brothers were arrested in a special police operation on June 7 that year.
After that, Musharraf Hussain was basically banished from local politics.
On March 8 last year, the police had arrested Musharraf’s brother Mohtesham Hussain in a money laundering case. A few days later Musharraf became completely inactive in Parliament.
Sources said he had left for Switzerland at the end of last April.
