Lampard, who was previously Chelsea boss from July 2019 to January 2021, said he was delighted with the owners’ take on themselves, adding that it “shows the passion”.
“I’m comfortable with it,” he said. “For me there was probably some criticism of our old boss (Abramovich) not coming to games and not being around and that wasn’t always true.
“But when an owner has a vested interest in the team and wants to help and improve then it is their prerogative to seek input.”
