Through a legal notice, the donor has asked the foundation to inform how the donated money was spent within 30 days.
Otherwise, legal recourse will be taken, the notice stated.
According to the legal notice, the donor gave Tk 40,500 to the foundation in three phases through banks and Bcash to contribute to the social cause.
However, various allegations against the Bidyanando Foundation – including financial irregularities and improper use of donation funds – have been circulating in various media and social media.
According to the notice, although the scope of all expenses was clarified in the audit report, the donor was not informed about the money donated by him in the audit. And despite repeated requests regarding the matter no satisfactory response was received from the Foundation.
