The wheelchairs were distributed among children and teenagers with special needs on behalf of Zubaida Rehman, wife of Tariq Rehman. The program was organized and conducted by MA Muhit, Chairman of CSF Global.

Speaking as the chief guest at the View-Exchange, Tariq Rehman said, “The people who are present here today, the children whose songs we heard, who gave speeches, recited poetry and gave gifts to me and my wife Zubaida Rehman, sadly, our society has a tendency to confine such people indoors and not let them come out.”

He said, “Yet, compared with us who are physically capable, many of these individuals have far more qualities that we lack.”

Calling for collective support for children and adolescents with special needs, he said, “If we stand with them at the social, political and state level, I personally believe that Bangladesh will be able to bring out many talents, many talented individuals.”
