Before he was appointed minister in 2018, his wealth was Tk 474.6 million, which has doubled in four years. During that time he has also repaid a loan of 64.4 million taka from Southeast Bank.
According to information given in the latest affidavit, Tajul Islam’s annual income from agricultural sources has increased from Tk 240,000 to Tk 335,000 in 2018.
They have earned more than Tk 16.99 million as house rent, which was slightly higher than Tk 2.26 million in 2018. Income from house rent in 2014 was Taka 740,000.
