This will be Liton’s first stint in the IPL. He is the seventh Bangladeshi to be selected to play in the IPL after Abdur Razzaq, Mohammad Ashraful, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal and Mustafizur Rahman.
As of now, he is the second Bangladeshi player to play in the 2023 edition of IPL after Mustafiz, who has been retained by his franchise Delhi Capitals.
