Low gas pressure causes troubles to consumers

Due to low gas pressure consumers of Dhaka City are suffering. That includes domestic gas burners, CNG stations, and industries. Many CNG stations could not operate due to low gas pressure. Others delayed to deliver causing long queue of vehicles.

According to sources, recent gas supply to manure-production industries caused this decrease in gas pressure.

While supplying to the manure production industries the supply of gas to power plants should be decreased. But the power plants did not cut the use of gas causing a decrease in gas pressure.

Now the production of gas is 230 crore cubic feet. This amount is not sufficient enough to supply both the power plants and the manure production industries.

Power plants consume approximately 92 crore to 95 crore cubic feet. Industries, CNG and domestic uses almost the rest of the part.
