An unidentified man was died after being hit by a train in the Khilkhet Railway Station area of the capital on Tuesday
His estimated age was 45. The incident occurred around 11:30am when he was struck by the train. He was later rescued and admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where he died around 1:30pm while undergoing treatment.
Md. Riazul Karim, who brought the man to the hospital, said he was seriously injured while crossing the road in the railway station area, opposite La Meridien Hotel in Khilkhet.
Inspector Md Faruq, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost, said, “The body is at DMCH. The matter has been informed to the concerned Railway Police Station.”
