A set of six jerseys that Lionel Messi wore during Argentina’s 2022 World Cup victory will be auctioned in December, Sotheby’s announced on Monday, with their estimate at more than $10 million.
The football star wore these shirts during the first half of the group-stage round against Saudi Arabia and Mexico, as well as the subsequent games against Australia, Netherlands and Croatia and the final against France.
Argentina’s winning streak in Qatar last year was the last feat under the forward’s cap, having failed to achieve a championship in the previous four World Cups.
