The incident took place in the evening when Kulsoom and her daughter came in contact with the live wire of an electric pole while going to a nearby field to bring their cow back home, said Mohammad Shahnoor Alam, in-charge of Manikchari police station.
He said that both mother and daughter were taken to Manikchhari sub-district health complex, where they were declared brought dead on arrival.
