According to information received from Bangladesh Police, Anwarul Azim, MP of Jhenaidah-4 constituency in West Bengal, India, has been murdered.
A police source close to the investigation said police have arrested two people in Bangladesh over the incident. The arrested people have recently returned from Kolkata.
One of the arrested is Abdullah, who was arrested in Keraniganj.
MP Anwarul Azim, a resident of Nishchintpur village in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah, visited West Bengal, India on May 12. He went out the next day to see a doctor and did not return. Later, a local named Gopal Vishwas filed a general diary (GD) on this at Baranagar police station.
