Due to talks between JPA over seat sharing, Awami League has withdrawn its candidate from Kishoreganj-3 constituency.
Karimganj Upazila Awami League convenor Naseerul Islam Khan was the ruling party’s nominated candidate from this constituency. Mujibul Haq is contesting as a JPA candidate from this constituency.
The election campaign officially began on 18 December after the allocation of symbols. After this, posters of Mujibul Haq were put up where he has been described as the ‘Awami League supported’ candidate.
Four independent candidates of the Awami League are contesting in this constituency – New York Awami League Organizing Secretary Mohammad Mahfuzul Haq with ‘Eagle’ symbol, Major (Retd) Mohammad Naseemul Haq with ‘Scissors’, Swachh Sebak League’s Central Labor Affairs Secretary Golam Kabir Bhuiyan with ‘kettle’ and MD Rubel Miyan with ‘truck’ symbol.
