Musa’s 16 cr tree plantation movement continues

First ever Bangladeshi conqueror of the Mount Everest Musa Ibrahim has called upon every fellow citizen for planting one sapling to make his new movement of planting 16 crore tress annually successful.

“Every work can be done if the goal is set and I have a plan for planting 25,000 tree saplings in Aditmari upazila of Lalmonirhat alone this year,” he said and asked the students for fixing their destinations keeping in view of planting trees.

Musa was addressing a subject-based discussion organised on the second day of the 3-day Literature and Culture Affairs Creative Camping at Aditmari KB School and College ground in Lalmonirhat district on Sunday as the chief guest.

He also planted three tree saplings in Aditmari KB School and College ground in presence of hundreds of young students of the institution and common people of the area.

Later, he addressed huge students’ gatherings at Aditmari GS High School, Namuri High School and Saptibari High School under Aditmari upazila and explained his new movement of planting 16 crore saplings every year in the country.

Eighty male and female students from all eight unions under Aditmari upazila have been taking part in the creative camping of the children, residing in eights separate camps and taking part in different creative competitions on literature and culture.

Aditmari upazila administration has been patronizing the camping for inspiring the younger generations in further flourishing and nurturing the Bengali literature and culture for building a developed nation enriched with its own culture, literature and heritage.

Noted personalities are taking part in the daily subject- based discussions and films for the children are being screened there everyday along with other cultural programmes.

Musa Ibrahim highly appreciated the efforts arrange there and suggested all concerned, especially the young generations, youths and students for turning the ongoing tree plantation drive into a social movement throughout the country.
