The Election Commission (EC) has announced that Mymensingh City Corporation elections and Cumilla City mayoral by-elections will be held on March 9.
EC Secretary Jahangir Alam announced the election schedule at a press conference at the EC Bhawan on Wednesday.
The schedule of 231 other elections including municipal elections was also announced.
Election Commission Secretary said that the last date for submission of nomination papers for Municipal Corporation elections is 13th February, scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on 15th February, date of withdrawal of nominations has been fixed on 22nd February and symbols will be distributed on 23rd February. Will go.
He also said that as per the instructions of Chief Election Commissioner Qazi Habibul Awal, EVMs will be used in the city corporations, municipalities and district council elections.
