National conference on advances in physics started at Shahjalal University. Physics is one of the most important branches of science. In fact development of physics in the late nineteenth century and in the early twentieth century changed the world.
Today’s computer science, electronics, electrical science all the important sectors are basically branch of physics. Even today’s nuclear energy in the outcome of nuclear physics.
This conference at Shahjalal University is a two day conference and organized by the physics department of the university. More than four hundred teachers and students from home and abroad are participating in the conference. In his inaugural speech the vice chancellor of the university said we have a long history of scientific research. He also expressed his hope that this conference will benefit Bangladesh.
In is known that more than fifty thesis is submitted on non linear optics & Laser physics, nuclear physics & reactor physics, renewable energy & atomic physics and medical physics. An open discussion will be held on the last day of the conference.
