According to the study, migrants are facing new types of environmental challenges in urban locations.

Depending on the location, flooding during high tide or heavy rainfall and lack of drainage systems pose major health concerns as kitchens and toilets are regularly inundated, the study said.

Moreover, in three out of four cities, access to safe drinking water is a problem, the findings show.
