Dr. Mojumdar is an accomplished professional with a career spanning over 30 years in various fields of finance, macroeconomics, international economics, customs, trade facilitation issues, international development, WTO issues and international business coordination.
Prior to joining the Energy and Mineral Resources Division under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, he served as Additional Secretary (Macroeconomic) in the Finance Division under the Ministry of Finance.
He joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) in April 1993 in the 11th batch, and later served in various positions as BCS (Customs and Excise) in the National Board of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance.
Mozumdar holds a PhD in Political Economy from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. He also holds an MA degree in Political Economy from McGill University, Canada.
