Faiz Ahmed Tayyab, special assistant to the chief advisor in charge of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, has left the country after being summoned by the chief advisor, multiple media outlets reported on Saturday evening.
When contacted on his WhatsApp number on Saturday night, Faiz Ahmed Tayyab disconnected the phone. “I took leave from office on the 9th and 10th. The ministry formally bid farewell to me,” he later wrote in a text message.
He did not answer the question whether he had left the country. However, a source close to him said he left Bangladesh from Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday.
