Prime minister Sheikh Hasina said that their government does not have the desire to change the caretaker government system despite having a bitter experience. However, they are about to bring about changes in the constitution as per direction from the high court. A parliamentary committee is already working in this regard. She expressed her views in a press meeting in New York. She also talked to BBC & met UN chief Ban ki moon. In an interview with BBC she talked about the press freedom. She said that in 1996 there was only one TV channel. Their government permitted private TV channels to operate & it was then decided to telecast BTV news two times daily. However, the matter will be considered later, she said.
