Dhaka’s air quality remained in the ‘unhealthy’ category on Tuesday morning.
With an Air Quality Index (AQI) score of 157 at 10:00 am, Dhaka ranks seventh in the list of cities with the worst air quality across the world.
An AQI between 101 and 200 is considered ‘unhealthy’, especially for sensitive groups.
Lahore of Pakistan, Delhi of India and Karachi of Pakistan occupy the first three places in the list with AQI scores of 457, 341 and 203 respectively.
