Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Qazi Habibul Awal has said that there have been no large-scale incidents of violence and violation of the election code of conduct during the ongoing election campaigns.
The CEC made this comment while answering questions from journalists after a meeting with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) at Nirbachan Bhawan in the capital on Thursday afternoon.
Habibul Awal said that the Election Commission did not receive a large number of complaints regarding violations of the code of conduct, although there were some sporadic incidents of violence, pushing and pulling posters.
