Obaidul Quader asked by foreign journalists about relations with China and Russia

The foreign press has reported that Bangladesh is going to have a one-sided election because the main opposition is boycotting it. When asked to comment on this, Obaidul Qadir said, “There is no unilateral election taking place here, it is a unilateral protest.”

BNP has alleged that the government is conducting dummy elections. Now efforts are being made to bring forward dummy voters to make it appear credible in foreign circles. When asked about this, Obaidul Quader replied that BNP itself was a dummy party. BNP is a dummy party of Bangladesh.

BNP has said that they will not oppose the elections. He has also called for a strike. Isn’t this contradictory? It was reported that BNP’s programs were being run on the orders of the US Embassy. In response to a question asked in this regard, Obaidul Qadir said, “Why are you asking biased questions? This is very biased.”

A journalist said, people’s perception is that Awami League is going to come to power for the fourth consecutive time. How many seats does Awami League think it will win? Another belief of the people is that independent candidates of Awami League will win more. Who do you think will become the opposition?

Responding, Obaidul Qadir said, “Inshallah we will win the elections. I don’t want to say right now how many seats we will win. And the election results will tell who will be the opposition.”
