Quoting the family members of the victims, Umar Farooq, the officer-in-charge of Patragram police station, said that BSF members opened fire on 5-7 Bangladeshis, including two, when they were returning home with cattle, in Raibul’s village. Died on the spot and another injured.
The body was sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital mortuary for postmortem, while the injured are undergoing treatment.
Confirming the incident, Director BGB-61 Lt Col AM Mahbubul Alam Khan said that they have already sent a protest letter in this regard to BSF officials.
