Another person has died during a clash between police and BNP leaders and workers in Naya Paltan area of the capital.
Deceased Shamim Mia is a resident of Mugra area of the capital.
However, BNP claimed that he is a ward level leader of Jubo Dal, an ally of the party.
A Jubo Dal leader said Shamim Mia died after being injured during a clash between police and BNP leaders and workers on Saturday afternoon.
In the afternoon he was taken to Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital, where he died.
Speaking to Prothom Alo, hospital director and Deputy Inspector General of Police MD Rezaul Haider said there was no injury mark on his body. It is believed that he died of heart failure.
