He further said that once the proposed ‘one-stop service centre’ is launched, service seekers will not need to visit multiple offices.
Land owners facing any problem will be able to come directly to the center to lodge a complaint or application and all the necessary official procedures will be completed there.
This will eliminate the need to go through five or six separate steps and reduce opportunities for harassment.
The minister also said that the Land Ministry operates under various laws and regulations, and instructions are issued as per those laws.
However, he acknowledged that the laws needed some amendments to make them more time-appropriate.
