Over 100 leaders and workers of the ruling Bangladesh Awami League and the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party were injured in sporadic clashes and scuffles between leaders and workers of the two parties in Habiganj.
The AL leaders and workers ransacked the district BNP office in a clash that lasted for about two hours till around 7.30 pm. The police pacified the situation by firing tear gas shells and rubber bullets.
