Government sources have said that the project cost of the Padma Bridge is set to increase by Tk 26.82 billion, while the project’s life will be extended by one more year.
This project will be completed by June 2024.
The Padma Bridge project was to be formally completed by June.
Meanwhile, the operation of vehicles has started on the bridge and Bangladesh Railway has done a trial run on Padma Bridge.
