Pakistan has leveled the T-20 series by defeating Ireland.

Curtis Camper (22) and George Dockrell (15) added to the score before Gareth Delany's 28 off 10 balls helped the hosts reach 193 for seven.

Chasing the target, Pakistan's team faltered in the beginning as Sam Ayub was caught out in the first over and in the second over, captain Babar Azam dismissed Graham Hume for a duck.

But Ireland's hopes of a famous series win were dashed with a game remaining as Mohammad Rizwan (75 not out) and Fakhar Zaman (78) stitched a brilliant 140-run partnership.

Azam Khan added 30 runs in 10 balls and gave Pakistan victory without using 3.1 overs.

Azam said, “I am feeling relieved, the credit for this goes to all the batsmen.”

“We lost a few wickets in the beginning but we kept the momentum going. It was a good decision to bowl first because it was cloudy and there was a little rain.”

Ireland secured their first T20 win by registering a five-wicket win with a ball to spare against Pakistan in the series opener on Friday.

Pakistan will also face Ireland in the group stage of the T20 World Cup to be held in the United States and West Indies next month.
