Paper Crisis: Reduce Duty, Increase Import

On getting the opportunity, traders increase the price according to their wish. Traders allege that the supply of paper in the market has decreased due to disruption of production in paper mills.

Talking to the traders in Nayabazar area of ​​the capital, Prothom Alo correspondent has come to know that the prices of paper in the wholesale market are increasing every day.

The price of white print paper increased from Rs 135,000 to Rs 160,000 after a rise of Rs 25,000 per tonne within a week. The price of white newsprint increased to Tk 15,000 per tonne. This paper has increased from Rs 120,000 to now it is being sold for Rs 135,000.
