A mobile phone recovered from the wreckage of the Yeti Airlines plane that crashed in Nepal on Sunday apparently captured the final harrowing moments of the doomed flight, reports NDTV.
The twin-engine ATR 72 aircraft carrying 72 people from Kathmandu crashed shortly before landing in Pokhara, a major tourist destination in the Himalayan nation. At least 68 people aboard have died.
The video, which circulated on social media, begins with shots of passengers sitting inside the plane and the city below seen through the window as the plane circles before landing.
Suddenly there is an explosion and the screen turns upside down. In the last few seconds, there are sounds of fire and passengers screaming outside the window.
